A seaworthy craft with an excellent reputation ,so named as around a hundred years ago the original craft was used for many years under sail and oars to deliver the post around the shores of the sea lochs working out of Ullapool in the Scottish Highlands.

A shapely hull and good beam make it a very stable craft with performance to satisfy the most discerning of sailors.
The double skin hull has rigid buoyancy incorporated making it unsinkable.

The Post Boat is an ideal family boat with a large safe and uncluttered cockpit and vast locker space. The latest version has a large stowage locker forward with access via the deck hatch. There are also generous sized lockers under the cockpit side benches plus a large stern locker that can house an outboard engine and other gear safely out of sight.

In common with all craft in our range she is offered with a choice of sailing rigs and has a well within the cockpit for an outboard engine, where it is safe and easy to operate.

The rowing thwart is removable leaving a clear cockpit sole which,at two metre length ,is suitable for camp cruising under our optional over boom tent cover which clips around the cockpit coaming.


Post Boats have made extensive coastal passages in capable hands. The latest version has been tested by an independent body and is CE plated - category 'C ' -for coastal inshore waters with up to 5 persons.

Our purpose designed trailer allows for simple single handed launching and retrieval in shallow water and the Post Boat is easily towed by the family car.
