The Coastal version of the Whammel has a half decked layout with more enclosed cockpit than the original open boat version.
Developed for coastal sailing this model features a long foredeck with side and stern decking and a coaming around the cockpit making it secure and comfortable. The option of a spay hood over the forward part of the cockpit gives some sheltered seating and offers protection to the helmsman.
There is plenty of storage for cruising gear with six stowage lockers plus the option of a central locker, which will accept a modern 4hp to 5hp/4 stroke engine, giving a twin cockpit layout.
The craft is well equipped for sea going use with anchor bollard, chain pipe and mooring cleats all round. The mainsail is equipped with slab reefing and there is the option of roller reefing for the foresail making this an easy craft to sail single-handed.
The purpose designed trailer makes launching and retrieving her simple and foolproof and she can be easily towed by a medium sized family car giving a wide choice of sailing waters.
