Popular Craft from our range

17ft 6in. Coastal Whammel -

The latest model to the range was designed for the coastal sailor with a more enclosed deck layout than the original open Lune Whammel craft. She has a foredeck plus side and stern deck with a coaming around the cockpit. This gives a comfortable and secure cockpit with the option of a spray hood to enclose the forward part. There is a choice of two different cockpit layouts with plenty of locker space for cruising gear. One layout has the option of a dedicated locker for keeping a 4/ 5 hp. modern 4 stroke outboard engine on board. With her shallow draught and being easy to tow and launch she offers the potential of a wide choice of sailing waters or she is equally suitable for use on a tidal mooring.

14ft. 6in. Post Boat
The stability and sail plan of the Post Boat make for easy handling with performance to satisy the most discerning of sailors. This craft has foredeck and side decks with coaming which provides a safe cockpit with comfortable seating. There is a large foredeck locker, two lockers under the side benches and a stern locker in which a small outboard and other equipment can be safely stored out of sight. An ideal craft for singlehanded or family sailing. Easy to launch and retrieve on our purpose designed trailers and a joy to sail. Judged by many as the best seaworthy dayboat of her size.

17ft. Whammel Boat -original open dayboat layout.

The original Lune Whammel dayboats is based on the traditional Morecambe Bay salmon fishing craft and has a great following as a stable sailing craft for leisure use. She can easily be sailed single handed yet with her large cockpit is capable of accomodating family and friends or larger groups and is used by several training establishments.
As with all our craft she is available with a choice of traditional sail plans and different levels of trim and equipment to suit customers budget and requirements.
